Engineered for Impact. Designed to Last.
The PROTO-II™ Fence Wall System delivers unmatched durability, clean aesthetics, construction savings, reduced long-term maintenance by minimizing shrink cracking / wall shifts, etc.
Built to Endure. Engineered to Impress.
The PROTO-II™ Fence Wall System redefines masonry fencing with unmatched durability, cost efficiency, and visual appeal. Designed for performance, this Trademarked proprietary post-tensioned system outlasts conventional masonry—and far exceeds the limitations of wood, vinyl, Metal, and Pre-Cast alternatives. Available in 4”, 6”, and 8” block widths, it delivers structural integrity without compromise.
PROTO-II™ Benefits
Post-Tensioned Strength
Reinforced with innovative post-tensioning, our walls drastically minimize shifting, cracking, and settling—even in extreme conditions.
Fewer Materials, Less Labor
The system is engineered for efficiency, saving time and cost during installation.
Minor Retaining Capabilities
Capable of retaining 8 to 10” of soil, ideal for lot separation applications.
No Grout Needed
For walls up to 6’8″: Grout-free for fast installation, easy maintenance, and removable access when needed.
Longevity & Low Maintenance
Designed to last with reduced need for repairs over time.
Municipal Approvals
The system holds standard plan approval in many municipalities, simplifying your permitting process.

FAQs
Can a 'DIP' Footing be used in any conventional designs?
No, the DIP Footing can only be utilized with the PROTO-II Wall Systems design which will minimize dirt displacement and require less concrete into the footing.
Does PROTO-II™ Wall Systems require the first course to be partially buried?
No, the typical PROTO-II free standing wall does not require the first course to be buried, thus providing a true achieved height from top of footing to top of wall. This eliminates an entire course of block.
Does PROTO-II™ Wall Systems have a Standard Plan?
Yes, we have a long-standing Standard Plan with the City of Los Angeles, Plan #520 along with Los Angeles County, City of Santa Clarita and several jurisdictions in the ‘low desert.’ However, we off site-specific details in order to design it based off of more specific recommendations for your project.
Does PROTO-II™ Wall Systems provide estimates for projects?
No, we provide the engineering package for the project which the builder would provide to a PROTO-II certified masonry installer for bidding.
Does the masonry installer need any special tools to install PROTO-II Walls?
No, any type of wrench may be used to tension the wall via Direct Tension Indicator (DTI. method. A pre-calibrated torque wrench is used for the ‘torque method’ of tensioning.
Does PROTO-II™ Wall Systems design retaining walls?
Yes, we provide minor retaining wall details which can include a retaining section with a Proto-II fence atop to achieve your overall needed wall height.
Does PROTO-II™ Wall Systems provide a pilaster detail?
Yes, we can provide a 16″ or 24″ traditionally reinforced pilaster detail with your engineering package.
Where can I find a licensed PROTO-II™ installer?
Contact us if you are a builder or contractor and would like a list of licensed PROTO-II™ installers in your area.
How can I become a licensed PROTO-II™ installer?
Contact us if you are a masonry contractor and are interested in becoming a licensed PROTO-II™ installer.
What is the difference between the PROTO-II™ Walls and conventional masonry walls?
The PROTO-II™ Fence and Retaining Walls use the same masonry block and have the same appearance as conventional masonry walls. The difference is on the inside: Conventional masonry walls use rebar and grout for support, while the PROTO-II™ Walls use post tensioning. This advanced technology provides a stronger, more efficient design. The PROTO-II™ Wall is available in 4”, 6” and 8” wide masonry fencing and also in 8” and 12” wide retaining walls.
Who provides the engineering for the PROTO-II™ walls?
PROTO-II™ Wall Systems provides all engineering. Included is the PROTO-II™ Standard Product Data Sheet and wet sealed engineering calculations. Custom engineering as required by site conditions is also available.
